T.I. Isn't Worried About Blurred Lines Lawsuit With Marvin Gaye's Family! See What He Had To Say HERE!

no title
Doesn’t seem like he thinks he’ll end up in the same boat as Pharrell Williams and Robin Thicke.
But that doesn’t mean T.I. won’t have to show up to court to defend himself!
The rapper was recently named in a new lawsuit from Marvin Gaye‘s family who want the ruling judge to “correct” their decision to include not just Pharrell and Thicke in their Blurred Lines lawsuit but T.I. and all of the music labels involved, as well!
But T.I. recently shared his feelings on being named in this copyright infringement case and it sounds like he’s pretty secure in the knowledge that he didn’t steal anything and thus does NOT owe anybody anything!

Here’s what T.I. said:

“I don’t know what’s going on. I never really got caught up in that. I have nothing but admiration and respect for the legacy and estate of Marvin Gaye and I have nothing but support and extreme admiration for my partner Pharrell as well as Rob. I know that I’m a writer, I’m a creator, I don’t steal from anybody creatively when I make my music. I know that and I think anybody with common sense is going to be able to see that whenever they listen to it.”

Sounds like T.I. is confident that he won’t end up paying millions to the family of Marvin Gaye like Pharrell and Robin Thicke will have to.
But while his verse in the Blurred Lines song may have been original – it seems that Marvin Gaye’s family is claiming that doesn’t matter.
Their point seems to be that if T.I. was involved in the making of this song, which he was, then he should be held responsible as should anybody else who was involved.
Guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens!
