While most of us were waving the red, white, and blue this Independence Day, Tilda Swinton was waving the entire rainbow!
Right outside of Moscow’s infamous Gingerbread House Kremlin, Tilda took to waving the LGBT pride flag to spread the following message:
“In solidarity. From Russia with love.”
Currently there is a ridiculous 100-year ban on Gay Pride parades, and there is a bill currently going through their parliament that would ban the distribution of “propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations.”
Thanks Tilda for soberly reminding us that while we may celebrate the knocking down of DOMA, there are some parts of the world where oppression against the LGBT community runs rampant!
