Timothée Chalamet is clearly SO in love with Kylie Jenner. But that doesn’t mean the film star’s family members approve of the match!
Even though the Call Me By Your Name actor and the Kylie Skin mogul have been a thing for nearly two years (!) at this point, his family still reportedly has serious reservations about the reality TV queen. So serious, in fact, that they are sounding the alarm to try and ward off the couple’s increasingly cozy connection (and rumored upcoming engagement)!

On Wednesday, The US Sun published a jaw-dropping report quoting sources close to the 29-year-old actor — who conveyed just how displeased they are at Timothée’s relationship with Kylie. And these aren’t random hangers-on, either. To hear that outlet tell it, the two insiders are a Chalamet family member and a childhood pal!!
Speaking anonymously, the mystery family member reacted to recent news about the Oscar-nominated actor reportedly scoping out a pricy engagement ring. An engagement to Kylie, the source said, would be “a terrible mistake.” Begging Timothée not to walk down the aisle with the Life of Kylie alum, the source called the couple “two complete opposites”:
“It’s a mystery. Many of us don’t understand how they connect and click.”
Hmmm… Is that you, Pauline Chalamet?! Remember, Timmy’s sis previously appeared to take a not-so-subtle jab at Kylie on social media. So, naturally, it makes us wonder if she’s the anon family mole dropping the dime here. But more recently she hung out with her bro and Kylie together, too, so maybe not… Besides we can’t imagine she’d risk speaking to the media about all this.
Regardless, the family source further said Kylie’s “eagerness for attention” has supposedly created tension within the Chalamet clan to the point where some relatives are “furious” over the A-list couple’s relationship. Really?! Furious??? Damn…
Their specific concern? They worry Kylie is trying to leverage Timothée’s stratospheric silver screen superstardom to raise her own profile. Hmmm. Okay, so, we understand how that could be a concern for young stars in general. Obvi! But Kylie is super famous on her own. And she has been for a looooong time. Way longer than Timmy. However, there’s only so far you can go in fashion and reality TV we guess? The association with the Dune star could mean adding to her queendom. Being part of a Hollywood power couple, she could maybe get the same kind of boost that Victoria Beckham got?
That’s the thinking, anyway. That source said:
“I think she’s only with him so she can stay in the spotlight. She’s done this before in her previous relationships with other artists and rappers.”
Harsh!
And there’s more. As we mentioned up top, the outlet’s second source is supposedly a childhood friend of the A-list actor. This unnamed pal echoed the family member’s take by claiming Kylie wants to “live and die in the spotlight” and has glommed onto her boyfriend’s worldwide fame to stay relevant.
The fact that she already has two kids — daughter Stormi, 7, and son Aire, 3 — with Travis Scott is also supposedly causing tension. After all, he’d be a pretty young instant dad. The childhood pal claims family members have urged Timothée to “move on” from the Kardashians star and abandon whatever marriage plans he might have. And the anonymous pal added:
“Timothée isn’t like her. He’s a very simple person — he doesn’t need much to be happy.”
Regardless, between the aforementioned engagement ring report and recent joint real estate moves, it sure seems like the couple is moving full-steam ahead.
That, the first source concluded, is apparently a real problem. They summed things up on a negative note:
“In the opinion of many of us, they’re not a match made in heaven. It’s quite the opposite. She isn’t the one for him.”
Yeesh!!
