However, she listed the date of separation as the day before. The reason for her sudden split from Richard? She gave the old catch-all on the docs: irreconcilable differences. Hmm…

In the filing, the fashion designer asked to terminate the court’s ability to award spousal support to both her and the 76-year-old. She also requested to have her name changed back to Celestine Knowles after going by Celestine Lawson during her marriage to Richard. At this time, neither Tina nor Richard has spoken out about their divorce. Beyoncé has also remained quiet about her mother’s breakup – but that shouldn’t surprise anyone since she has kept her life pretty private.
For those who don’t know, this was Tina’s second marriage. She first was with Mathew Knowles, and they had their two famous kids together. After they divorced, the businesswoman moved on with Richard. They tied the knot in April 2015, and they never had children together.
