Like we needed another reason to love our imaginary boyfriend, Tom Hardy!
During a break from being treated for cancer, Kayleigh Duff had an amazing surprise time with Tom in London! Kayleigh’s friend, Katie, arranged the whole thing, as meeting him was one of the wishes she made after being diagnosed with the same rare and aggressive form of cancer that killed her father when she was just eight years old.
Kayleigh’s only 23.
Here’s what she had to say:
├óΓé¼┼ôI nearly died when I saw him. I was shaking – I just thought we were having a day out in London. Tom’s fiancee Charlotte and Katie arranged it all without me knowing and he was so lovely and down to earth.
“We had lunch and tea and scones and he bought me a diamond necklace.”
Holy shizz! That’s incredz!
She needed this distraction, for sure. Not only because she’s incredibly brave in her battle, but her first course of chemotherapy made no difference to the tumors in her liver. She’s about to start a different combination of chemo drugs in a few weeks.
As a mom, though, she’s taking time before that starts to spend a holiday in Florida with her son Kai — which was also on her wish list!
A lot of this is made possible by her friends, who have set up fundraisers to make sure Kayleigh has the best time possible in case the worst case scenario is the one that surfaces.
