Police Finally Rule Sketchy Death Of Billionaire Couple As A Double Homicide Weeks After Family Hires Private Investigators

Six weeks after a billionaire Canadian couple was mysteriously found dead in their home, authorities now believe they were the victims of a “targeted” double homicide.
You don’t say, Toronto Police Department!?
On December 15, Big Pharma chairman Barry Sherman and his wife Honey were found dead hanging by belts from a railing in a semi-seated position near the indoor pool of their $7 million Toronto mansion.

During a press conference on Friday, Detective Sgt. Susan Gomes said there were no signs of forced entry in any of the home’s access points — but after spending weeks gathering over 100 witness statements and obtaining neighborhood security footage, officials have enough evidence to “describe this as a double-homicide investigation.”
This development comes as great relief to the Sherman family, who dismissed earlier reports that the case was being investigated as a possible murder-suicide.
Those who knew the couple brushed off the theory as false, prompting members of the Sherman family to hire an investigative team who found evidence that they were, in fact, killed by multiple people, according to CBC.

After Toronto police made the same determination on Friday, the family issued the following statement to ABC News:

“The announcement by the Toronto Police Service that the tragic deaths of their parents are being investigated as a double homicide was anticipated by the Sherman family. This conclusion was expressed by the family from the outset.”

Sounds like they were one step away from going all Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
The Shermans were known for their philanthropy, giving tens of millions to universities, hospitals, and the United Jewish Appeal. The Apotex founder’s net worth is estimated at $3.2 billion, according to Forbes.
Gomes declined to discuss motive or any potential suspects in Friday’s presser. In their statement, the family added that they continue to support police “in their efforts to seek justice for their parents and pursue those responsible for these unspeakable crimes.”
