The 'Toughest' Decision Taylor Swift Has Had To Make Amid Her Falling Out With Blake Lively: REPORT

Taylor Swift and Blake Lively have seemingly put the nail in the coffin of their once unbreakable friendship — but this was a whole new level of difficult.

As you know, we’ve been following the reports that Tay Tay and Blake aren’t pals anymore, and lately with the actress not attending the wedding, it’s really starting to look like it’s true. We reported earlier this month that Tay had even rolled back on her godmother role in Blake and Ryan Reynolds‘ kids lives. She was the godmother to James, Inez, Betty, and Olin, but after the big falling out between her and Blake, a source said that was no more:

“When Taylor’s friendship with Blake and Ryan ended, her role as an active godmother naturally faded too. There wasn’t a falling out with the children. She simply isn’t part of their everyday lives anymore.”

So sad. And now, a new source for DailyMail.com is echoing that statement. They claim Taylor had “no choice” but to “remove herself” from the whole situation:

“It was one of the toughest decisions she’s ever had to make. It was very emotional because she loves the girls. It hurt her heart, but she had no choice given the circumstances.”

The insider claimed this decision wasn’t taken lightly, and was only finalized “a few months ago” after she talked it over with Travis Kelce. And his opinion was reportedly telling Tay it “was the right thing to do”.

As for the godmother status, there won’t be a big legal issue:

“There was never an agreement in writing about her being the girls’ godmother. It was a verbal one between Taylor and Blake.”

This has reportedly hurt Taylor’s heart BADLY. Which, we can imagine! She absolutely loves her godchildren. She even used their names in her Folklore album as a gift to them. The source said:

“It hurt her heart, but she had no choice given the circumstances. She wanted to make a clean and total break.”

A second source said:

“Taylor’s having the time of her life now that she is married, her family is great, her career is great and she’s looking forward to the future. The only thing that is causing troubles in her life is Blake’s kids and not having the relationship she would like to have with them as their godmother. Right now, she doesn’t feel it’s healthy or realistic to maintain a close relationship with the children while having virtually no relationship with their parents. Taylor doesn’t believe it’s fair to anyone involved – especially the kids – to put them in the middle of such a strained situation.”

They added:

“She believes stepping away is the most respectful path forward for all parties.”

Ugh. Such a tough decision for everyone involved here.

Taylor reportedly hasn’t given up on the idea of reconciliation with the kids, though. The source alleged:

“While many people view the title of godparent as largely symbolic, Taylor embraced the role wholeheartedly. Because of that, walking away has been incredibly painful and heartbreaking. She hopes that once the children are adults, and 18 and able to make their own decisions, they’ll be free to reconnect if they choose.”

Such a tough situation. Thoughts, Perezcious readers?
