This sounds VERY inneresting!
It was revealed last week that Toy Story 4 would be a love story revolving around Woody and Bo Peep!
If that wasn’t exciting enough for you, John Lasseter, the chief creative officer of Pixar and Disney Animation Studios, as well as the director for the upcoming film, stopped by Disney’s D23 Expo to give some more information about the flick!

Lasseter spoke with the audience about the bonnet-wearing sheep herder and shared that:
“I love Bo Peep. And we never got to know her backstory. She wasn’t in Toy Story 3 at all, so it really set us up nicely for her to come back. It’s a very special story.”
He went on to explain that the inspiration for the story actually came from someone very close to him — his wife!
He told the audience:
“Bo Peep really reminds me of my wife Nancy in many ways. And my wife Nancy has an incredible emotional story, before I met her, so it’s a very personal story ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ as is every film at Pixar. But that’s what this one is for me. It’s a very touching story that’s inspired by my love for my wife.”
Awww! That just gives us ALL the feels!
He also talked a bit about the writers of the movie, Rashida Jones and Will McCormack, and gave them praise by saying:
“If you’ve seen the film that [Jones and McCormack have] done, Celeste and Jesse Forever, there’s a special quality to the love story and the writing and the cleverness they have. They’re great writers.”
Pixar has been pretty on point with their movies and the Toy Story flicks are among the best!
We can’t wait to see the sparks fly between Woody and Bo Peep when the movie comes out June 16, 2017!
