Tucker Carlson is attempting to make amends.
During Tuesday’s episode of The Tucker Carlson Show, the conservative pundit, who once rallied HARD for Donald Trump, publicly apologized for “misleading” Americans to vote for him. While chatting with his brother Buckley Carlson, who previously wrote speeches for the 47th President and now also expresses regret for supporting the convicted felon, Tucker owned up to the role they played in helping Trump secure the Presidency:
“Looking back … we were implicated in this for sure. It’s not enough to say, ‘Well I changed my mind.’ Or, ‘This is bad, I’m out.’ In very small ways, but in real ways, you and me, and millions of people like us are the reason this is happening right now.”
Earlier this month, Tucker completely denounced Trump following his explosive Easter message directed at Iran and pursuing Truth Social rants. You can listen to his scathing assessment of the situation (below):

During Tuesday’s episode of The Tucker Carlson Show, he continued to reflect on his previous support for Trump, calling it “a moment to wrestle with our own consciences.” He added:
“We will be tormented by it for a long time. I will be, and I want to say I’m sorry for misleading people. It was not intentional.”

Following Tucker’s denouncement of Trump, the President took to Truth Social to criticize the pundit and other former supporters of having “Low IQs.”
“They’re stupid people, they know it, their families know it, and everyone else knows it, too!”
