The foster family responsible for inflicting unspeakable crimes on the Turpin children have plead guilty years after being arrested for abuse.
The Turpin children have sadly become famous for a tale of atrocities dealt out against them first by their parents and followed by their foster parents. In 2018, the kids were rescued from their abusive parents David and Louise Turpin in California after daughter Jordan managed to escape and call 911. At the time, their home was infamously dubbed a “house of horrors” as all the terrifying details of what they were subjected to came to light.

After being rescued, the six youngest children were sent to live with new foster parents Marcelino and Rosa Olguin. It should have been the light at the end of the tunnel — but the terrors they were subjected to were far from over. Marcelino allegedly molested multiple of the children, while Rosa and the pair’s daughter Lennys contributed to other forms of abuse for three years. They were all eventually arrested in 2021. You can read all about that HERE.
So, so disturbing. The fact that anyone would be able to inflict such horrors upon another human, let alone children is just absolutely mind boggling. But thankfully, the foster family is facing justice.
On Monday, the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office confirmed Marcelino, Rosa, and Lennys have all now entered plea agreements. Marcelino plead guilty to four counts of lewd acts on a child 14 or 15 years old, three counts lewd acts on a child younger than 14, one count of false imprisonment, and one count of injuring a child. According to Thalia Hayden, a spokesperson for the District Attorney’s Office, he will also be required to register as a sex offender. If and when he does get out of prison, sounds like he’ll never be allowed around children ever again.
Rosa and Lennys, on the other hand, both plead guilty to three counts of willful child cruelty, one count of false imprisonment, and one count of intimidating a witness each. Rosa’s guilty plea also includes grand theft.
The trio’s sentencing is scheduled for October 18, and the DA’s office anticipates anticipated Marcelino will be sentenced to seven years in prison. Rosa and Lennys, however, are expected to be sentenced to four years probation and four-year suspended sentence. Lennys will get 150 days in sheriff’s work-release program, while Rosa will get 120 days.
As for why Marcelino finally agreed to enter a plea deal, attorney Paul Grech told The Press-Enterprise on Saturday:
“He just wanted to bring closure to his family, and this was the best way to do that.”
The fact he his attorney would even try to position him as a family man is just deplorable after everything he’s accused of… But thankfully, the Turpin children are one step close to seeing the justice they so very much deserve.
