Talk about a mini joyride!
Texas police were led on a wild car chase north of Houston on Thursday — and the vehicle they were chasing was being driven by a 12-year-old girl!
According to reports, the tween was taking a spin in her grandmother’s car with her 7-year-old sister in the passenger seat.
The grandmother reported her 2014 Chevrolet Cruze stolen when she noticed the vehicle was missing, fearing the girls had been kidnapped.

But it was just her granddaughters who took the car for a joyride — reportedly driving on the wrong side of the road and reaching speeds of almost 100 MPH!
Authorities began their pursuit as the girls were driving along Highway 105, and continued the chase through towns until it ended in the Montgomery High School parking lot.

Though Montgomery Police Chief Jim Napolitano said the kids hit several cars during the chase, there were no injuries and only minor damage was caused.
The 12-year-old girl was taken into custody while charges are being determined.
Thankfully no one was hurt, but we hope these girls stay away from the wheel until they’re of legal age.
