Great News For Tigers!

For an endangered species, this is HUGE news!
Last week, two sets of tiger triplets were debuted to the public at the Bronx Zoo, in NYC.
The birth of the six cubs is quite remarkable for the critically endangered species, as only about 27 cubs have been born in U.S. zoos in the last decade.
Three of the cubs are Siberian Tigers which will grow to be over 600lbs while the other three are Malayan Tigers, which will grow to be about 200lbs. Unfortunately there is only one female cub amongst the six.
The director of the Bronx Zoo describes the infant tigers as ambassadors for their wild counterparts, of which only 3500 are estimated to remain.
It’s super important that the natural environment of the tiger is saved! With forests being destroyed world wide, the homes of these majestic animals are disappearing!
If we can protect their habitats and continue boosting the population through zoos, we can reverse the damage we have done!
