The suicide of Rutgers University student Tyler Clementi, who killed himself after Dharun Ravi secretly filmed him having sex with another man and broadcast it over the internet, shocked the nation almost a year ago, and now, it appears that the roommate and his lawyer are now claiming that the whole thing was a big misunderstanding!
Oh, really?
According to new legal documents, Ravi accidentally caught Clementi on camera with another man, but immediately shut it off. Furthermore, the filing says that he has “no problem” with homosexuality, and the only reason he turned the camera on in the first place was because he was worried that his iPad might be stolen.
Okay, and if this were the actual case, then we think we need a whole lot more clarification about this story – mainly, why is this all coming out now?
If it were an accident, like he’s now claiming, shouldn’t this have been the first thing he told authorities?!
Either way, he should have NEVER had the means to film someone without their consent – so we seriously hope the judge takes that into consideration!
