Well this sounds terrifying as all hell.
A woman in El Lay was going home after a night of celebration with friends when she decided to call an Uber to take her home.
Well, instead of a quick easy 20-minute ride home, the woman was pretty much kidnapped for TWO HOURS.
Seriously! The woman was driven around, then taken to an EMPTY parking lot by her driver, who locked the door when she tried to get out, and wouldn’t take her home until she started SCREAMING and yelling.
AKA the Uber ride from hell!

So, what did Uber do about it???
Well, the woman who experienced the ride emailed them to let the company know what happened to her and they sent an automatic response apologizing for the ‘inefficient route’ and refunded PART of her fare.
Which is a big steaming pile of BULLLLLLLLSHIT.
Then a day later they reimbursed the REST of the fare and didn’t mention anything about the fact that she was pretty much kidnapped by the driver.
The woman, understandably, is talking to the LAPD and an attorney because Uber’s lackluster response is absolutely HORRID.
Oh, and because the man actually has her home address since he had to drop her off. After the harrowing experience she’s currently staying at a hotel because she fears for her safety.
All of this is absolutely terrifying and we feel so bad for the woman who had to go through this!
Come on, Uber! We expected better from you!
P.S. You can ch-ch-check out the exact ‘inefficient route’ the driver took the woman on (above)!!
