Val Kilmer's Family Believes His Religion Is Preventing Him From Dealing With His Serious Throat Tumor!?

As we reported, Val Kilmer was rushed to UCLA Medical Center last Monday when he reportedly started bleeding from his throat, in what doctors would later discover — via surgery — was a throat tumor.
Last Saturday, the 55-year-old went on his Facebook page to declare he didn’t have surgery or a throat tumor, simply referring to his medical dilemma as a “complication.”
Well now, the former Batman star’s family is speaking up by not only validating the previous tumor claims, but also asserting that his religious beliefs are preventing him from getting the help he truly needs!
According to relatives, the actor knew about the tumor since last summer when it caused him to have both speech issues and neck swelling, which he would cover up with scarves.

However, Kilmer is a Christian Scientist, who teach that illness can be cured through prayer, NOT through medical treatment.
He apparently refused to admit to pain which would concede that prayer doesn’t work. In addition, whenever his family did try to get him to seek expert care, he would cut them out of his life.
They are hopeful he will be more receptive to seeking professional help given his current health status.
