Legendary TV star Valerie Harper has brought yet another smile to our faces today!
She announced that she is right now 100% cancer-free!
SUCH. GREAT. NEWS!!!
It was a little over a year ago that Harper announced she had been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. Her doctors had given her as little as three months left to live!
Despite all of that, Valerie stayed positive!
She signed up to compete on Dancing With The Stars while appearing various places and talk shows to tell her fans that she’s still alive and planned to fight this illness!
And boy, did she!
Harper announced this week:
“My last scans have been positive, and my doctors are very happy. [The oncologist] looked at the scans and said, ‘Oh my god, Valerie, this is very encouraging!├óΓé¼┬¥
Very encouraging indeed!
But Valerie is careful not to call this a remission. She explained:
“My doctor doesn’t use that term. He likes to say, ‘I give you treatment, and it’s either responsive or nonresponsive ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ and you are having a phenomenal response.├óΓé¼Γäó”
We are SO excited to hear this update! You’ve been an inspiration, Ms. Harper, and your upbeat spirit and fearless personality is second to NONE!
