Vanderpump Rules’ Scheana Shay Says She ‘Didn’t See A Single Red Flag’ While Hooking Up With MARRIED Eddie Cibrian!

Scheana Shay is opening up about her affair with Eddie Cibrian.

The Vanderpump Rules alum is dropping a tell-all memoir My Good Side later this month, and one of the bombshell chapters has to do with her controversial fling with the Sunset Beach star.

In an excerpt obtained by Entertainment Weekly on Wednesday, Scheana talks about graduating from Azusa Pacific University in 2006 and moving to El Lay to “make a name for myself in the entertainment industry, whether that was as an actress, a TV host, or a news reporter.” Just 21 years old at the time, she landed a job at a “private member’s cigar lounge and restaurant” where “every A-list celebrity, director, writer, and actor hung out.”

By a few months in, she started getting more and more comfortable with the regulars… One was Eddie, who was there to play poker EVERY Tuesday. Scheana, now 40, wrote:

“If you were to ask me when I was growing up what my exact type was, to a tee it was Eddie — tall, dark, and handsome, with dimples. The second we made eye contact, he smiled at me with those dimples, and I melted. How could I not? He’s undeniably a gorgeous human.”

That part is undeniable. There was only one issue: at the time, Eddie was married to Brandi Glanville of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fame. Of course, this was long before that show ever began airing on TV — that wasn’t until 2010! So she wasn’t quite yet a household name!

Scheana revealed that her affair with Eddie didn’t start right away; it was a slow burn:

“Eddie was the sweetest, funniest, most charismatic, consummate gentleman I’d ever met. He always made me feel like I was the only girl in the room when I was working.”

Damn, it sounds like she STILL has a crush on him. Or at the very least gets butterflies in her stomach when thinking back on their time together! In any case, what he was doing was working!

Guess he never mentioned his wife. According to her, her crush being married never crossed her mind:

“This was pre-social media, so it wasn’t like he was posting pics of his family in matching pajamas in front of a Christmas tree.”

She also claimed he NEVER wore a wedding ring! So why not? One thing led to another and BOOM! They’re hooking up! The reality TV star clarified:

“To be clear, Eddie wasn’t my boyfriend (at least not exclusively). But we did start a physical relationship at the end of 2006, which was a weekly booty call.”

Of course not exclusively! He was busy also having an affair with every other hottie in Hollywood! At least that’s how his ex tells it these days…

Anyway, their rendezvous always took place on Tuesday nights after she finished her shift and he wrapped up his poker game. And since this was before social media, Eddie wasn’t afraid to take her out in public, with friends, and even on a boat “around Castaic Lake taking photos together.” Brazen! Scheana recalled:

“The frightening thing is that I totally thought I could end up with Eddie; he looked how I’d always imagined my future husband would, and he treated me well.”

But at the time, she was still super young and not ready to settle down:

“That was when I started seeing Jesse Metcalfe, the sexy gardener from Desperate Housewives.”

Ultimately, though, the pair “grew apart” and she and Eddie picked things up right where they left off. And STILL, she never had any suspicions that he was a married man:

“It really felt like we were building something. Did I think it was weird that I never went to his house? No! He lived in Calabasas, supposedly. And I certainly wasn’t making the trek to Calabasas in 2007, when Ubers didn’t exist, and I had less than $1,000 to my name. It was so much easier and more fun to hang out in Beverly Hills or Hollywood, and my place was closer and more convenient.”

She added:

“I didn’t see a single red flag, especially since we weren’t exclusive.”

Sounds like she wasn’t looking very hard. That or Eddie really was that smooth when it came to infidelity? Hey, practice makes perfect, right? That’s a guy who put in his 10,000 hours, are we right?

The Scheananigans podcast host explained that someone at work eventually did inform her that Eddie was married. But when she confronted him about it, she claims he denied it!

What a sleazeball! All the while he had two kids with Brandi back at home. But that’s famously just how the dude operates… Don’t even get us started on what happened just a couple years later with LeAnn Rimes!
