JD Vance and Tim Walz went head-to-head on Tuesday night during their Vice Presidential Debate, which is likely the final debate as the presidential race nears a close. Things started off cordial with a classy handshake between the opposing parties. But as expected, everything soon went off the rails — especially when the hosts had to mute their mics because they were arguing too much. And, of course, the Republican pick was heard grumbling about fact-checking at one point! He was caught complaining:

“The rules were that you guys weren’t going to fact check.”

Not a good look!

The politicians got into a ton of heated discussions over various topics, from abortion to gun violence (particularly in schools) to the housing crisis and climate change. Everything was on the table, and they each had their strong and weak moments. According to some experts, JD seemed more confident on stage (helping him spread Donald Trump‘s messages without some of the insane commentary we’re used to hearing from the ex-Prez — you know, like “they’re eating the dogs”), but it was a somewhat nervous (at first) Tim who delivered one of the best punches of the night!

Toward the end of the debate, Walz put Vance on the spot by asking him point-blank who won the 2020 election. The former high school coach then called his opponent’s response about focusing “on the future” a “damning non-answer.” Got him!

That said, Hank Sheinkopf, a Democratic campaign consultant, told the New York Post on Wednesday morning that it was a debate between “the two most boring men in the world.” He also added, “It was slick JD versus cornball Tim.” Ouch!

Rob Ryan, a Republican Party strategist, blasted Walz’s nervousness, as well. He chimed in:

“Vance was cool, calm, and well-spoken. Walz had rapid eye and head movements that were distracting to the viewer and reminiscent of a groundhog on meth.”

Yikes!

Unimpressed with both candidates, campaign strategist O’Brien ‘OB’ Murray added:

“A hillbilly with an Ivy League degree and an old white guy walk into a bar, and no one noticed. That was 90 uninspiring minutes of rapid speaking and flat conversation. Tonight’s debate confirms that this presidential election, like all others, is about the top of the ticket.”

But just because the men weren’t able to hold as rousing a conversation as the Presidential candidates, that doesn’t mean fans weren’t spoiled with a TON of new meme content! You better believe the internet is spilling over with joke after joke — just look (below)!
