Vidal Sassoon Honored By The Queen Mum

Hair styling god Vidal Sassoon received a CBE (Commander of the British Empire) medal from The Queen on Tuesday.
The 81 year old says “It is both an honour and sense of personal satisfaction to receive this award but I also accept it on behalf of the craft of hairdressing. The UK is one of the hairdressing capitals of the world and I’m proud to be part of it.”
He looks good for 81, don’t you think?
While receiving the medal at Buckingham Palace, Vidal revealed to the Queen that he has been styling hair for 67 years. Her response? “Good lord!”
LOLz! We would’ve loved to hear that!
And seeing as Vidal has achieved a lot in those 67 years, Michael Gordon founder of Bumble & Bumble will soon be presenting a documentary of the hairstylist, which will first be entered in film festivals followed by a wide release next year.
Sounds like it’s going to be an amazing film!
