It’s all about family… Or something like that.
Vin Diesel made an appearance at the 2025 Golden Globes on Sunday to present this year’s award for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement. But before that, he made a point to give an uncomfortable shoutout to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Yes, the dude walked up on stage to the mic, scanned the audience, and quickly picked out his Fast and Furious frenemy to name check. He said with a sly smile across his face:
“Hey, Dwayne.”

The camera then cut to the pro wrestler flashing a painful grin in return, before Vin continued on with presenting the award to Wicked. Watch the awkward moment (below):
You could cut the tension with a knife! Even the crowd didn’t quite know what to do!
As we’ve been following for several years now, Vin and Dwayne had a major falling out on set of 2017’s F8 after the latter called out the former for a lack of “professionals” on set. The Moana star then stepped away from the franchise only for Vin to pretty much BEG him to come back — which he initially refused to do, but ultimately did return for 2023’s Fast X… Albeit for a quick post-credits cameo. So that sort of led fans to believe they let bygones be bygones. Or that they were at least on the right track! No pun intended!
So with all this being said, how did YOU interpret Vin’s shoutout?? Was it cool or condescending? Let us know in the comments down below!
