Anything goes on The Walking Dead, including cast members that were killed off despite being promised another few seasons of working the show!
Sunday’s mid-season finale shocked viewers by bidding farewell to one of the few remaining original cast members, but fans weren’t the only ones who were crushed by the blow.
[Spoilers!!!]
Carl Grimes was killed off on the latest hour of the AMC horror hit, and the young actor who plays him is just as — if not, more — devastated than the show’s fandom.

Chandler Riggs was just ten years old when he began playing Carl, who was long believed to be the final survivor of the series, eight years ago.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Riggs revealed he and his family were told he was getting the axe by showrunner Scott Gimple just a few weeks before he filmed his death scene.
To make matters worse, the news apparently came after Riggs was told producers wanted keep him on the show for another 3 years, prompting the 18-year-old to base big life decisions around filming the series. He recently purchased a house near the set and was due to start college at a local University.
Riggs’ father Will, who runs a walking tour of the area where the show is filmed called Dad’s Zombie Roadtrip, commented about his son being fired on the tour’s Facebook page — and he clearly feels that his son was walked all over by Gimple and AMC:

Riggs issued a vague, cordial statement on Twitter, writing:

R.I.P. kiddo. Will you watch the series without Carlllllllll?
