Twitter can be an ugly place when people forget that there’s a real person sitting and reading your comments!
That’s what happened after Wayne Rooney was needlessly berated by a ├óΓé¼┼ôfan├óΓé¼┬¥ on twitter. Rooney got upset by what he said and took to twitter to fire back. ├óΓé¼┼ôI’ll put u asleep within 10 seconds,” he wrote.
“Hope u turn up if u don’t gonna tell everyone ur scared u little nit. I’ll be waiting,” he continued.
The twitter account that taunted Rooney has since been taken down by the site.
Many players have been facing fines for inappropriate remarks on twitter, including Ryan Babel, who was fined £10,000 for a Twitter post.
The league is still trying to determine how to handle Rooney’s situation, but it looks like he will definitely face some sort of punishment.
