
Are we going to have to apologize to fructose for all the hate we’ve all been giving it for years??
That might be the case!
Turns out that excessive calories, and not any unique properties of fructose, are more likely to lead to weight gain!
“We feel the controversy has directed the issue away from over-consumption. Our data suggests that fructose plays the same role as any energy-dense substance.”
“Fructose may not be the villain. People should be aware of the total calories they├óΓé¼Γäóre consuming rather than worrying about one type of sugar.├óΓé¼┬¥
Still, large, long-term trials that may be in order to be able to determine whether fructose itself plays a particular role in weight gain.
It’s not 100% conclusive yet, in other words.
But to us, it looks like our favorite saying is still correct when we say “in moderation!”
