Wendy Williams and Kevin Hunter are officially over.
An attorney for the daytime TV talk show host confirmed to Page Six that Williams filed for divorce on Thursday, April 11, after 22 years of marriage.

A source speaking to the publication shares that Wendy filed for separation in Essex County, NJ, and had divorce papers served to Hunter at 6:30 A.M.
It feels like it was only a matter of time before the estranged couple called it quits.
A source close to Wendy and Kevin previously spilled that they had already begun exploring what a separation would look like for them. The insider explained:
“There is a discussion about what happens now — everyone is asking, ‘How can they possibly stay together?’ Wendy still loves Kevin, but her health is at stake…They are so tangled up together in business, so they are carefully looking at what a separation could entail. It will be difficult.”
No doubt it’ll be difficult, as the pair has been together for over two decades — for better, or for worse.
But it appears Wendy has already begun the motions of making that clean break, since she opted to tape Thursday’s episode of The Wendy Williams Show without her engagement ring.
Instead, she opted for a sparkly, massive flower ring to accessorize her look.

That telling smirk on Williams’ face leads us to believe she is pretty relieved be to finally moving on from the unfortunate state of her marriage.
If you’ve been keeping up with the TV host’s recent woes, you know it’s been one hurdle after another for her recently. Including fighting her own personal battle with sobriety, while multiple reports of her husband’s alleged infidelity and love child with mistress Sharina Hudson have run rampant.
Back in March, the paps caught Wendy leaving her Queens, New York sober house without that big diamond on her left hand for the first time.
The media personality then addressed the sighting on her show, and shared that viewers would know when she was really done with Hunter, when the wedding ring came off for good:
“Marriages are not easy – and don’t ask me about mine until you see this gone. It ain’t going anywhere, not in this lifetime. He is my best friend, my lover, he’s all this and he’s all that. I know what you’ve been saying and I know what the streets have been talking about.”
But the inneresting thing is, it appears that Wendy switched the placement of that pretty flower ring before actually going on stage to tape the show.
Wait, really?!

Could the move innocuous move possibly hint that she still has love for her longtime soon-to-be ex, despite how things are ending? Could it be that she’s finally committing to HERSELF over an alleged cheater! Or are we reading too much into it?
