Eva Mendes Only Speaks To Her Dog In French

In an interview with Marie Claire magazine, Eva Mendes reveals she and her Belgian Malinois dog, Hugo, speak only French with one another.
But it’s not for some snooty or weird reason.
Eva said:

“It sounds so pretentious, but he learned his commands in French.”

So we guess it’s easier for a person to learn a few French words than to try and get a dog to relearn everything it already knows.
The Belgian Malinois is not a tiny fou fou dog.
It’s basically a German Shepherd.
So he’s also her bodyguard.
She said:

“He’s an attack dog, a guard dog, [but also] he’s really sweet.”

Maybe sweet to you, but stalkers beware.
