Who needs the Oscars when the “real winners” of 2008 are the studios who earned the most bang for their buck?
The “winners” according to Forbes Magazine, at least.
After much time-consuming number-crunching on their end, Forbes broke down the $$$.
Robert Downey Jr. helped Paramount Pictures come out on top by earning $52.60 for every dollar Downey was paid for his Oscar nominated role in Tropic Thunder.
Oscar nom and industry legend Meryl Streep brought in top dollar for Universal Pictures, earning them $12.00 on the dollar for Streep’s performance in last summer’s ABBA musical, Mamma Mia!
Juno also made the list, holding the top spot for both most profitable film and director.
