Tourists beware!
According to reports Mr. Madonna, Guy Ritchie, is an owner of a pub that likes to overcharge tourists!
Guy owns 20% of The Punchbowl pub (in the fancy pants Mayfair area of London), which is reportedly set to be investigated by London authorities after a Brit media source revealed that pub staff priced drinks differently for ‘locals’ and tourists.
The pub is also in trouble for not displaying prices for drinks.
The Punchbowl is reportedly a fave of Hollywood stars Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Barbra Streisand and situated around the corner from the Ciccone-Ritchie London home.
The assistant manager of the Punchbowl denied there was a policy to offer drinks at different prices, “That should not be the case and it won’t be the case. As far as I am aware there is no change (in price). There is no difference. There is the old way of doing things and the new way of doing things. Everyone should be paying the same.”
Madge and Guy are reportedly looking at plans to turn The Punchbowl into a gastro pub or private members’ club.
Hope the investigation doesn’t complicate things for the future. There is a chance that the establishment can lose its license for unfair pricing practices!
