Actually, the actress was so bullied in junior high that she had to drop out!
Believe it or not, the doe-eyed darling who famously dated Johnny Depp was picked on for appearing gay with her pixie cut ‘do!
During a chat with V Magazine, Winona revealed:
“I was obsessed with Bugsy Malone and had cut my hair short. I remember the halls were empty and these kids started shouting ‘f-ggot.'”

We’re shocked that anyone could be so ignorant to assume a short cut automatically means someone is gay, but we also can’t understand why anyone would attack someone else for their sexuality at all!
She’s probably over it though seeing as it is pretty safe to say she’s wayyyyy more successful than her former classmates will ever be!
After all, how many people can say they’ve been wrapped in Johnny’s tatted up arms??! HA!
