With A Little Help From His Friends

Presidential hopeful Barack Obama is going to get a bit of help campaigning from his friends in Hollywood.
George Clooney has decided to host a fundraiser for Obama in Geneva, Switzerland next month.
Why Geneva? Well, Georgey is summering in Italy, so it’s nearby.
The event will take place on Tuesday, September 2nd and will offer a reception followed by a dinner, with a special speech by Clooney.
And, according to Obama’s National Finance Committee, the tickets for the reception are going for $1,000.
But if you want to go to dinner, that’s extra. Dinner will be at the home of NFC member Charles Adams for $10,000 a plate!!!
And you better hurry, because the dinner will only sit 75 people.
The event will only be open to contributors that are US Citizens with a passport.
This kind of contradicts what Clooney’s said before about not backing up nominees.
During a CNN interview Clooney had said, he was “hesitant” to campaign for anyone, calling it a “slippery slope.”
Clooney added, “I feel that at times you can harm the person that you are trying to help. I don’t want to damage anybody.”
Wonder what changed his mind???
