Worker Fired For Euthanizing Hero Dog

The worker that mistakenly euthanized Target, the hero dog in Arizona last week has been fired.

Sgt. Terry Young had brought Target back from Afghanistan after she saved lives by scaring a suicide bomber away from the camp.

Target had escaped from Young’s backyard on Friday.

After seeing Target’s picture on the site for missing animals and thinking the shelter was closed for the weekend, Young went to pick Target up on Monday.

Unfortunately that morning, an employee had euthanized Target.

This is really such a terrible story!
