Oh no!
Even though our baby girl Britney Spears and sassy sweet Demi Lovato are two cherries atop a gynourmous X Factor sundae, it seems the original X Factor over in the UK is more a melting ice-creamy MESS, and is dealing with all sorts of dramz!!
First we hear that Nicole Scherzinger is NOT happy about her judging stint on the show, and NOW we hear head judge Gary Barlow is threatening to QUIT over Sunday night’s results show!
Apparently, there are whisperings that judge Louis Walsh, who was seemingly rooting for contestant Carolynne Poole, was TOLD by producer (and Simon Cowell‘s bestie) Richard Holloway to vote a certain way, thus resulting in Carolynne’s elimination.
When Carolynne’s fate was announced, Gary immediately walked off set, and now we hear he allegedly called a meeting with the show’s execs to give an ultimatum: no more fakery, or he quits!
One X Factor insider reveals:
“Gary is fiercely proud of his reputation and signed up for the show because he wanted to nurture genuine talent. The reason he wanted to be on it was to put a stop to these tricks and to stop insulting the artists and viewers. The pantomime some of his fellow judges bring to the show drives him insane and he believes it undermines the credibility of the whole show. Sunday├óΓé¼Γäós antics infuriated him. He was livid. He called a dinner for last night and issued an ultimatum ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ if this ever happens again he is off. No questions asked. Gary is demanding that genuine talent should always be recognised ahead of pantomime acts like Rylan who might pull in a few more phone votes for the novelty factor.”
Hot damn!!
AND Gary’s not the only one who believes mischief was afoot during that particular judging session!
It seems over 1000 people called in to a media watch group based in the UK, complaining about the way things were handled on Sunday’s X Factor episode!
Of course, Richard Holloway claims that he never told Louis anything other than which order the judging was going to be in… but the fact that he went up to the judge DURING the taping of the show, right before a live sing off, and whispered something into Louis’ ear, well… it’s mighty suspect!
Ah well, we hope everything resolves itself and Gary stays with the show. Without someone like Gary, the sliver of integrity a show like X Factor has would be gone quicker than, um, Carolynne Poole!
