Huge YouTuber QUITS To Protect Family From Too Much Fame!

The Outdoor Boys are taking a bold new step… In a much more private one direction.

You may have seen Luke Nichols videos pop up on YouTube here and there. If you haven’t, he documents extreme camping trips with his family, including wife Rebecca, and sons Tommy, Nathan, and Jacob. Together, the family has been pumping out content for their Outdoor Boys YouTube channel for years to MUCH success! At the time of writing this, they boast over 15.5 MILLION subscribers! But their videos are about to come to a screeching halt.

In a video uploaded on Saturday simply titled Goodbye, Luke announced he’s taking a step back from the platform to protect his family from the “overwhelming” fame they’re growing:

“It’s been a wild ride. The amount of time and energy that I’ve dedicated to making YouTube videos is hard to communicate. So many late nights editing and packing and unpacking camping with pneumonia building log cabins while injured, but it’s been a tremendous adventure and it’s allowed me to provide for my family while making wonderful memories with my wife and kids.”

But despite all the positives, Nichols claimed “even good things can be taken too far.” He told subscribers:

“I think I’m starting to reach that point.”

He claimed that his family is at the point now where they receive “overwhelming” recognition in public spaces:

“The sheer volume of fans trying to contact me, trying to take pictures with me, or just trying to come up and talk to me in public can be a bit overwhelming at times. And my wife and I, we both have real concerns about what this will do to our family if I keep growing my YouTube channel at this pace. And he time to stop is before this problem gets so out of hand that my family and I can’t live normal lives.”

OMG! He claimed his family has been viewed “about 4 billion times in addition to the 2.8 billion views on YouTube.” That’s INSANE!

Luke noted there’s “more than one reason” for coming to the decision:

“I still enjoy going on adventures but it’s time to start focusing on other thing. I’ve spent so much time focusing on me and my family and growing my business, it’s time to step back and focus on helping other people for a change and I’m excited to see where that takes me.”

Inneresting.

He also added he and his family still have camping trips planned and informed fans if he decides to film them he will post them at the end of the year in “one big dump.”
