Gypsy Rose Blanchard and her boyfriend just welcomed their daughter Aurora in December — but sadly they’re not able to live together!
During Monday’s episode of Life After Lockup, the 33-year-old admitted she and Ken Urker are living at “two separate places” right now:
“Everything is day by day right now. So, we’re just winging it. It’s hard to keep up a relationship whenever you’re living in two separate places, and you’ve got schedules that interfere.”
In another part of the episode, Ken said himself that this is hard on their relationship. Especially since they have a little one:
“Gypsy’s been gone all week, and my little Aurora isn’t home. It definitely feels a little depressing around the house. I feel like I have no purpose during the daytime before work. I feel like I have to find things to occupy my time, it’s very lonely.”
Why can’t they live together, though? They’re still together, right? Not too much drama with her ex??
No, it’s actually a rule. And it’s all about Gypsy’s prison release…

See, the convicted killer is still on parole until June 25 for the murder of her mother Dee Dee Blanchard. Her parole conditions include not being able to live with others outside of specific conditions. This means she — and also her baby girl — are stuck living away from Ken.
In another part of the episode, the mom of one made a bucket list for things she wants to do when she’s fully free. This list included visiting places like Vegas and Hawaii, drinking in a bar, talking about prison reform to prisoners… and of course “moving in with” her baby daddy. When she expressed this, Ken excitedly added:
“We can all be a family finally under one roof finally. That’s the biggest one.”
He also said of Gypsy’s soon-to-be-finished parole:
“Freedom, coming out into the world and actually being able to enjoy it, something that Gypsy’s never really been able to do. And it’s going to get even better in a few months when she’s off parole. We can actually travel and get to see more stuff. She’s been the best mother I could ever want for my child.”
He said he’s the “happiest I’ve ever been” and is even going ring shopping:
“I want to unite us as a family. I know that Gypsy’s the partner I want to go through life with. And I want to raise our daughter together as strong as possible. It’s about reassuring her that I’m committed to us. There’s nobody else I want to experience life with other than her.”
So sweet… but his baby momma might not be so sure. In fact, she was just recently caught texting her ex Ryan Anderson. Well, we guess we’ll see if Gypsy is still stuck in the prison of all that drama…
