Designer Zac Posen thinks very highly of himself. And we think that’s putting it nicely.
While attending an event in New York, Zac ran into the Harper’s Bazaar editor Glenda Bailey and asked her why the mag wasn’t featuring his clothes, but wanted him to be featured in their September issue spread that included big name designers posing with Sesame Street characters.
However, Posen being the egotistical designer that he is declined:
“I didn├óΓé¼Γäót want to model with the Count. She said that was the only way my clothes could be in the magazine as a non-advertiser. I think she was surprised I wouldn├óΓé¼Γäót take the part, but I stood my ground and I still do.”
Perhaps Zac hasn’t heard of the phrase “beggars can’t be choosers”.
While Posen declines free press, his label entered what he calls “survival mode” after investors cut funding and two top execs peaced out from the label.
Good luck with that.
