Maybe?
Zara is trendy, cute and priced well, but the clothing might just be a tad bit too teenie weenie.
The European brand’s fashion forward pieces are adorable and have been making their way over to many New Yorker’s closets, but the rest of the U.S. has yet to catch on.
A source revealed:
“Zara has struggled in America, for instance. It sells trendy cuts and slim fits. Outside the biggest cities, Americans have long preferred classic, roomier clothes (though this may be changing).”
Many mass lines offer vanity sizing, which means they allow customers to fit into a four when they’re really a six or an eight, but Zara doesn’t do that, instead, they sell twiggy fits.
The label is apparently just doing what they think is realistic, and here we thought their clothing were too small.
Should the brand change the way they do their sizing?
