That’s gotta hurt.
We imagine Zayn Malik must’ve been flying high last week when he learned that his first solo single, Pillowtalk, had debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 charts!
However, we’re not sure he’s feeling so great now that the second-week numbers are rolling in.

According to Chart News‘ Twitter account, the steamy song has dropped to number seven on the list! The user shared:
Billboard Hot 100: #7(-6) PILLOWTALK, @zaynmalik [2 weeks]. *peak: #1 for a week*

It turns out that this is the biggest week two drop that has been made by a track that debuted at the chart’s top position! Chart News also added:
PILLOWTALK by @zaynmalik scores the biggest 2nd-week drop for #1-debuting singles in Hot 100 history.

Apparently, the only other hit that has made that kind of a fall after the second week was What’s My Name by Rihanna and Drake.
But in all honesty, the gorgeous guy probably isn’t that concerned, since he’s already teased that he’ll have a new song out soon, tweeting recently:
Can’t wait for you to hear the next song 🙂 did the video today

And who knows! Maybe Pillowtalk will work its way back up the ranks!
