Who is Jacob Pechenik??
We found ourselves asking that very question ever since a slew of news came out about Zooey Deschanel and her mysterious beau!
Not only are the two expecting their first child together — due this summer — they’re also planning on tying the knot sometime soon!

However, that still doesn’t explain what we want to know about the guy. Jacob is definitely more than a good looking bro with spiffy spectacles on his face!
So, we did all the dirty work and dug up almost everything we could find on the New Girl‘s man!
Here’s almost everything you need to know about Mr. Jacob soon-to-be Deschanel Pechenik:
1. He’s a producer! Jacob has worked on a number of films — his IMDB profile is pretty impressive. Word is he met his baby momma on the set of his latest film project, Rock the Kasbah! He’s also known in the producing world for films like The Skeleton Twins, Jobs, and Before Midnight.
2. The 42-year-old barely has a social media presence, but why would he need to use Twitter or Instagram when he can just have the stars of his movies publicize it for him!
3. From the very little social media usage we can find, it’s safe to say Jacob has a pretty funny sense of humor and is very hands on with all of his film projects!

4. He isn’t PDA afraid — in fact, bring it on Zooey! He’s a little shameless, but hey! To each their own, right??
5. Jacob doesn’t get starstruck easily! He’s worked with some of the industry’s biggest names like Bruce Willis, Bill Murray, and Ashton Kutcher!
6. He isn’t camera shy! The producer may do a lot of work behind the camera, but he isn’t afraid to step in front of the lens when the time calls for it! It doesn’t seem like he’s done any on-camera work, but he’s posed in front of many step-and-repeats in his day!
