Zooey Deschanel Imparts Some InStyle Wisdom

Zooey Deschanel imparts some serious fashion wisdom in the April issue of InStyle, and we love her for it!
The actress looks radiant in a bold red Carolina Herrera dress on the cover of the mag, but what really stands out are her words regarding true personal style.
She said:

“Style isn├óΓé¼Γäót when you buy yourself the most expensive things. It├óΓé¼Γäós being creative and able to put together what you├óΓé¼Γäóve collected. I didn├óΓé¼Γäót have a lot of money [when I was younger], so I got things for, like $2, $3, and made myself look as good as I could. Limitations make you more creative.”

We couldn’t agree more!
It’s too easy to look good when you have access to the most beautiful designer duds, but real style shines through when you have to put some effort into it!
For the inside shots, the New Girl actress gets comfy in a Marc Jacobs coat, Jason Wu top, with a Louis Vuitton speedy by her side, and talks about being typecast style-wise, saying:

“People are more affected by how I look and dress myself than I think anyone would care to admit. I guess I├óΓé¼Γäóll just have to start wearing power suits. People try to turn you into a caricature of yourself. I change, just like anyone.”

People’s expectations can be very stifling, but you just keep being your delightful self, girl — even if that means wearing black tights to every red carpet.
