We're sure America's finest were pleased as punch to see Mark Wahlberg as he made a surprise visit to the troops at Camp Leatherneck in Afghanistan just before Christmas time.

The actor posed for pictures and signed autographs for hundreds of troops. He also gave them a viewing of his latest movie, The Fighter, which is out in theaters now.

Good work, Marky Mark! Way to give our troops a much needed pick-me-up!

The employees of Caesars Palace, where Celine Dion will be performing shows starting March 15, got a pleasant surprise when they received holiday greeting cards adorned with this beautiful picture of Celine and the fam.

In her message, she wrote that she and husband Rene Angelil, along with their son Rene-Charles "are looking to returning to Las Vegas, and with the twins Nelson and Eddy, there's going to be a lot going on around our house!!!!"

We bet!

Keep your energy, bb, because we can't WAIT to see you back on stage on Vegas!

According to reports, Jay-Z has signed Cher Lloyd, one of the finalists on this year's X Factor, to his label Roc Nation.

No official word has come from either Jay's or Cher's camp comfirming the news, but if isn't Jay who signs, its sure to be someone else. She was HUGE this season. No doubt she's got the potential to continue being EPIC!

David and Victoria Beckham will reportedly toast in the new year at a lavish party in California's wine country with fellow celeb couples.

The Beckhams will be boozing it up with Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana, as well as Seal and Heidi Klum. Ramsay is said to be organizing the three-day bash, which is reportedly costing $5,000 per family a night!

Wowsa!

A source said, "They all wanted to go on a luxury holiday together."

Sounds like they're ringing in the new year just right!

The prosecutor who fought to get Lindsay Lohan locked up is now running for L.A. County Deputy District Attorney.

Danette Meyers is a no-nonsense lawyer who's handled several murder cases and is widely respected by judges, prosecutors, and even defense laweyers.

She's also been named prosecutor of the year.

If elected, she will be the first woman and first African American elected in the position.

Very prestigious!

Take a sigh of relief, MJ fans - your voices have been heard.

Yesterday, it was announced that the Discovery Channel had plans to run a special in the UK featuring a reenactment of Michael Jackson's autopsy. Plans for the special have now been scrapped, due to the backlash from fans and pleas from the Jackson estate.

A rep from the network released a statement to sources confirming the decesion, stating:

"Given the commencement of legal proceedings beginning next week, and at the request of Michael Jackson's estate, the scheduled broadcast of the medical documentary related to Michael Jackson's official autopsy has been postponed indefinitely."

It's for the best. The whole thing was in poor taste and we can only imagine the kind of pain it would have inflicted on his family.

Just let the man rest in peace already.
