Taylor Swift was just dragged into Justin Baldoni‘s massive lawsuit against Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and others on the actress’ team — and it’s actually all thanks to the Gossip Girl star!
You see, Blake was the first to start any legal action against her It Ends With Us co-star/director back in December when she accused him of sexual harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign against her. In her complaint, which was first published by the New York Times, she claimed Justin was given a “Scenario Planning Document” from his crisis PR team about how they would handle a scenario in which Blake made her “grievances [about him] public.”

Within the doc, they mentioned the pop star, Blake’s filing stated:
“The Scenario Planning document states that TAG could ‘also explore planting stories about the weaponization of feminism and how people in BL’s circle like Taylor Swift, have been accused of utilizing these tactics to ‘bully’ into getting what they want.'”
That seems to be the very first time Taylor’s name was brought up in the legal activity. But, according to Justin, she had a lot more to do in this mess than just being used as an example or by trying to be a good friend. And Justin lays it all out in his lawsuit!
As we all know, the Jane the Virgin alum began his legal clapback by suing the New York Times. In his filing, he claimed that during a meeting at Blake and Ryan’s NYC home to discuss her complaints about his behavior, the couple had famous friends coming and going, seemingly as some kind of form of intimidation. Well, he gets into that even more in his new suit while slamming Tay Tay in the process!!
Here’s the deal. In his latest lawsuit, the actor recalled how his co-star was eager to try her hand at re-writing the “pivotal” rooftop scene in the movie. He “was reluctant” to let her because of how important the moment was, but “felt the need to allow Lively to rewrite the scene and agreed.” Ultimately, her version was “dramatically different from what had been written originally” and he “was hesitant about many of the changes.” Because of this, he “thanked Lively for her passion and diplomatically told her that the scene would likely end up being somewhere between the original version and Lively’s version.”
Justin claims the A Simple Favor star did NOT like that and “went silent for multiple days.” Seemingly before Blake responded, they had their aforementioned HR meeting, where Justin alleged he was “greeted” by the Deadpool star who “launched into enthusiastic praise for Lively’s version of the scene.” Then came the Anti-Hero artist — yeah, she was an in-person part of the so-called ambush, the filing noted:
“Hours later, as the meeting was ending, a famous, and famously close, friend of Reynolds and Lively, walked into the room and similarly began praising Lively’s script. Baldoni understood the subtext: he needed to comply with Lively’s direction for the script.”
We know what you’re thinking, “a famous, and famously close, friend” could be anyone, but we know for a fact it’s Taylor! While her name was redacted in much of the lawsuit, Justin texted Blake about the rooftop scene because he felt obligated to say he “liked her pages” after the meeting, so he sent her a gushing message that said in part:
“I would have felt that way without Ryan and Taylor”
Guess they forgot to take that out! But now we know what lengths the pop star will go for her loved ones — and it didn’t end there.
The Betty Buzz founder responded by acknowledging that she didn’t like the director’s lackluster response to her pages — and neither did Ryan or Taylor, saying:
“I told them that you laughed a bunch and said it’s probably a blend but you appreciate my passion so much. Which of course didn’t feel great for me. Or them. To have my passion praised instead of any specific contribution.”
Yeah, that is a little condescending rather than just giving her his honest opinion. But it seems like her husband and BFF had her back every step of the way, she added:
“They [Reynolds and the megacelebrity friend] also know I’m not always good at making sure I’m seen and utilized for fear of threatening egos, or fear of affecting the ease of the process. They don’t give a s**t about that. And because of that, everyone listens to them with immense respect and enthusiasm. So I guess I have to stop worrying about people liking me (‘I don’t know’ emoji).”
Well, then. Taylor really went to bat for Blake! See all the praise and texts (below):

Whoa. From the sounds of this, Taylor had a huge influence on this movie — and not just because Blake was able to use one of her songs in her final cut! It’s no wonder she’s been dragged into this legal drama…
We wonder if all this will finally lead her to open up publicly about this?! What do U think? Sound OFF (below).
