Peter Abramczyk, a "passable crossdresser" from Connecticut, was arrested Thursday during a police setup. The 39 year-old had placed an ad on Craigslist stating he'd be in Concord, NH for two days and was looking for some fun. Police secretly contacted Abramczyk and set up a meeting at a nearby hotel. Peter agreed to meet to engange in a sex act for money. When Peter arrived he was busted by the cops in the hotel room and was charged on a misdemeanor prostitution count. Abramczyk was released on a $500 personal recognizance bail and has an arraignment scheduled for October 22. View the ad he posted that eventually got him arrested….after the jump. What a sad clown! Would U hire that mess to blow you??? Permalink / 154 comments (RSS) / Forward this post » Always Use Protection!

Guy Ritchie is one lucky man. Mr. Madonna is set to direct the new Sherlock Holmes movie. - with Robert Downey, Jr. starring in the flick as Sherlock. As for Holmes' sidekick, Watson, that role will be played by the balding Jude Law. And, despite awful rumors of Sluttyienna Miller joining the cast, we have some good news. Rachel McAdams is now being said to star opposite Downey, Jr. in the flick. McAdams, who was in The Wedding Crashers and The Notebook, will now play Holmes' love interest, Irene Adler. With the number of stars Guy Ritchie is managing to get, he's working to guarantee himself a hit! Like momma says, lies always catch up to you. David Letterman, again, gave it good to lying presidential candidate John McCain on Thursday night. Dave likened McCain's diss on him for Katie Couric Wednesday night to feeling like 'an ugly date'. At first, Letterman said to his Thursday night audience, he felt like a "patriot" to let McCain off, but, "Now I'm feeling like an ugly date. I feel used. I feel cheap. I feel sullied." Dave went on to weave McCain slams into his material the rest of the night. In a bit about David Blaine, the magician who just completed a hanging stunt in Central Park, Dave threw out this McCain zinger, saying, "They just left the guy hanging there. It's the same thing McCain did to me last night." Dave's celebrity guest that night was heiress Paris Hilton, whom he described as McCain's first choice for a running mate. And, noting that Johnny boy wanted to bow out of the first debate with Obama, Letterman said running mate Sarah Palin wanted to put off her debate with Democrat Joe Biden until after Election Day. LOL! He also said Palin's United Nations appearance was like "take-your-daughter-to-work day." During his interview later in the show with Paris, Letterman reportedly couldn't resist another mention of the GOP candidate. As y'all know McCain negatively likened Barack to Paris in one of his political ads. Letterman said to Paris, "I heard he dissed you. He dissed me." Hope McCain is having fun laying in the bed he made. Looks like Dave's having LOADS of fun with it! [Dave image via Getty Images. Former Republican Presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee is going to be tormenting us a while longer! Huckabee has just announced that he has a new show debuting this weekend on the Fox News Channel. The program will simply be called Huckabee. How original. Huckabee announced the news on his blog and added, "I'm sure the name will make it easy for all of you to find it." Richard White, a Fox News Channel spokesman, confirmed that the new show would air on the channel, but referred all questions about the show to Huckabee's agent. Huckabee's daughter, Sarah Huckabee, who's also the head of his political action committee, said her dad's show would air the same episode on Saturday and Sunday of this weekend. Like if once wasn't enough! And who will be the show's first special guest? None other than The View's conservative co-host, Elizabitch Hasselbeck. Ok, now we KNOW the show will suck. Today's a good day for celebrities and the law. After news that Shia LaBeouf is getting off from his drink driving charges with no more than a 9 month license suspension, word comes that the LA County DA has decided to not file felony charges against Kanye West and his bodyguard for an altercation with the paparazzi at LAX. He might still get slapped with a misdemeanor, but for now, the coast is clear! Time to party! [Image via WENN.] Permalink / 41 comments (RSS) / Forward this post » Indie Labels vs. MySpace
Sometimes when you get too big, you forget about the little people. MySpace has been known to portray themselves as friends to independent music labels. In fact, they often point out that they're responsible for bringing into the mainstream artists like the Arctic Monkeys, who are on an indie label. However, as of Thursday things have changed. The site has launched a new music service and several indie record companies have "castigated the social network for offering more favorable terms to major labels with bands like Coldplay than those with acts like XL's Vampire Weekend, which isn't as famous but has a lot of online fans." So is MySpace $elling out? Hell yeah! L-A-M-E. Charles Caldas, CEO of Merlin, an international licensing group representing over 12,000 indie labels, says that MySpace "just seems to be a massive disconnect within that organization between the reality of what they are building and what they think they have built." Charles insists that MySpace is treating its clients differently than that of larger record companies. Here's where it gets interesting. Reports show that "MySpace Music is a joint venture between the News Corp.-owned social network and the Big Four labels. MySpace has given its partners an equity stake in the new service, but not to Merlin and other independent labels." So it is all about the money it seems. Caldas adds, "The disappointing thing was to see that MySpace was going to launch without the labels we represent. We're talking about some of the most significant independent labels and artists in the world." Adding, "It just seems odd. Here's a service that is built on the backs of those kinds of labels and artists. They are the ones its core audience is interested in." As for MySpace, which is owned by Fortune 500 company News Corp., it says they've done nothing wrong. Adding that, "We have offered a relationship with Merlin that provides equal opportunities to Merlin's Labels and Merlin's artists that we have provided to all labels and artists whether they are indie artists, major artists or unsigned artists." Even the biggest indie label in the US, Koch Records, is unhappy. CEO of Koch Records, Bob Frank, is said to be "livid" that MySpace would treat his company differently than those of the major label partners. He says, "Koch Records isn't just going to drop our pants and sign here without being treated like everyone else. How do our four competitors in a practical sense control that service?" asked Caldas. "That is some pretty sticky ground, I would think." What do U think of MySpace partnering up with the major record companies? Is it unfair to the indies???? Update: Myspace just sent us a statement on this situation. They say…. "Since the beginning of MySpace, our music platform has been available for all bands at every level. We have been committed to the art of music providing unique opportunities to both indie and major record label artists. This is the first phase of MySpace Music http://www.myspace.com/music. We have struck a deal with The Orchard, a leader in independent digital music, and offered a relationship to Merlin that provides equal opportunities to Merlin’s Labels and Artists, which we have also provided to the entire music industry whether they are Indie Artists, Major Artists or Unsigned acts. We hope that the entire Music Community will take advantage of the unique relationship that MySpace has built over the years between Artists and Fans.
