Rajo Devi just gave birth to a baby girl two weeks ago – at the age of 70! SEVENTY!!!!
She is now believed to be the world’s oldest woman to give birth.
Though she did it with a bit of help.
Dr. Anurag Bishnoi, a physician at the Hisar fertility centre in Haryana state, said, “Rajo Devi and Bala Ram [her 72-year-old husband] approached the centre for treatment and the embryo transfer was done on April 19.”
Rajo and her husband had been married for 50 years but could not have children. Rajo’s husband was even previously married to her sister, though he was never able to have children with her and his second wife never got pregnant either.
Okay. Now this shit just crossed over into the too freaky to believe category!
Although it’s not clear whose egg and sperm were used in Rajo’s treatment, her doctor did state that “Both the mother and child are in good health.”
