The project is to be centered on the title character, the no-nonsense patrol sergeant originally played by William Shatner, and his relationship with his father.

“The series was the poster child for cop TV shows in the 1980s with great stunts, so we think there’s a fun movie to be made from it,” said producer Ryan Heppe.
Heppe and his producing partner David Foster are also responsible for the Short Circuit remake!
