George Michael was arrested early Saturday morning in London on suspicion of DUI after crashing his Land Rover into a seven-ton truck!!!!!!
Michael has been famously involved in a slew of drinking and drugging driving offenses, most recently in 2007 when the singer was found slumped over his steering wheel with a number drugs floating through his bloodstream.
Although the former Wham member was released “without charge” from the Thames Valley Police station, the driver of the big rig, Laurie Rowe, says that Michael looked completely out of it after the accident occurred.
Says Rowe: “Michael seemed completely disoriented, like he had no idea what was going on. He looked totally dazed and even tried to climb into the cab of my [truck]. When I… got out to see what had happened, I didn’t think he would have survived.”
Wow.
Since being released, George has released a statement claiming he was “stone cold sober” at the time of the accident and doesn’t want his fans to be “worried by what they are reading.”
