The dolphins and whales in our ocean are a part of a larger eco-system that prevents the killing off of other marine life. By destroying these animals and not allowing our future generations to enjoy their beauty, we are causing our own selves damage. I always felt the need to speak on behalf of these helpless creatures who can not defend themselves.
Because I am in the public eye I feel the need to be a voice of worthy and important causes whose efforts impact the lives of every person on Earth. These animals are being brutally and unnecessarily slaughtered – and who are we to say to they have less of a right to exist than we do."

Wow. I am really impressed. Perez, you seriously need to quit talking shit about this girl, ok? I for one am sick of it. You have no reason to do it, and it's clear she's at least a half way decent human being, who deserves a little more respect from you. She's doing a really good thing here. And I know there will be some who will say it's all for publicity, but you know what? Not EVERYTHING a celebrity does is just for publicity! Let's cut some of them some slack! Some of them are people with seriously good hearts, who just simply got fortunate enough to become famous, and whatever causes they cared about before, they are able to bring to light and take care of now that they have the money and means to do so. Wouldn't the rest of us try to do a little something good if we were all so blessed? I would hope that WE would all "give back" if we were in their positions too! Besides, I've often had the mindset that even if some celebrities DO take on causes simply for the publicity… who cares?!?! They are still getting some good done in the world regardless, and if the rich and privledged people in the world aren't willing to give back then they should be ashamed of themselves anyway. So good for them if they want to attach themselves to some worthy causes. Right now, as you are drinking starbucks, having lunch, shopping, or reading this blog, there are little children who don't know why they don't have food to eat. THAT is a tragedy. Can we please take care of animals AFTER we take care of our children? And yes, I do give to children's charities and contribute, before you call me hypocrite. Children are truly innocent - take care of them first.

If meat from an animal is eatable it should by definition be used for eating. The countries involved in hunting whales and dolphins for food are smart enough not make the species they hunt be threatened by extinction. Somehow these duped enviromentalists and celebs think we should save animals just because they look cute.
