50 Cent's new album, Before I Self Destruct, has lived up to its title.

The record has gone and self destructed!!!!!!!

The CD is now being pushed back to 2009. Way 2009! There's not even a new release date set yet.

The record was originally supposed to come out in early December - to capitalize on holiday buying - but after the album's kickoff single tanked, the Self Destruct is now getting kicked to the curb.

Blame Scott Storch, who produced the shiteous first single, Get Up.

The official reason being given for the album's delay by his label, Interscope, is that Fiddy was "rushing" to meet the December date but "with the deadline to secure advertising and retail placement for the album imminent," the rapper opted to wait until next year.

Uh huh!

Rapper Mos Def most definitely has a warrant out for his arrest, according to Las Vegas police.

The rapper-slash-actor is charged with robbery and destruction of property after ripping a camera from paparazzo Volker Corell, causing $178 in damage. Corell claims to have been cut on the hand in the scuffle.

Mos Def is expected to turn himself in at the end of the week.

Considering how these cases usually end in the celeb's favor, Volker should just stop digging for some extra cash and spare everyone the trouble and waste of time!

On Thursday, MTV's debuting a new show called, 50 Cent: The Money and the Power.

The premise? According to a report, business-savvy contestants compete for a shot at fame and a huge cash prize.

Sounds a lot like the Apprentice to us!

But to that, Fiddy says, hell naw!

In a recent interview the business savvy rapper said, "Immediately when you say a reality show that has a business spin to it, they think 'The Apprentice,' and the difference is these people don't actually want to work for me. They have their own business ideas that they created and they're competing for $100,000 in seed money."

We want to know what the show's equivalent to 'you're fired' will be.

Maybe, "I'm kicking you to the curb"?

LA needs more of these!!!

On Tuesday, rapper Fifty Cent will present his old Jamaica, Queens, neighborhood the gift of green! And we're not talking about free marijuana!

The music man will dedicate the Curtis Jackson (his real name) Community Garden at Foch Ave. and 165th St.

Fiddy's G Unity Foundation paid for the green space.

The amazing Bette Midler will be appearing with Mr. Cent at the dedication ceremony.

As the NY Restoration Project founder, Bette has the greenest celebrity thumb in the city.

LA celebs, take note. Y'all need to step up and green up a ton of areas in our city!!!

50 Cent's agent scored him another acting gig.

The musician turned thesp has been castin the English remake of the French film, 13 Tzameti.

The movie centers on a man who steals a mysterious package that promises to pay out a fortune.

Don't worry!

Fiddy will not be playing the lead character.

Mickey Rourke and Jason Stratham have also signed on to do the pic.

Rapper 50 Cent has finally reached an agreement over visitation rights for his 11-year-old son today, Wednesday.

In the agreement, 50 gets (just) one weekend a month with son Marquise, who he had with ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins. He also gets one month in the summer, half of Marquise's spring and winter recesses, and alternating holidays.

Both parents expressed satisfaction with the agreement, and 50 Cent said he was "happy it's actually done with."

Tompkins said her son can see his father whenever he wants because she wants him to have a "positive relationship with his dad."

50 Cent and Tompkins will meet up again in court this January in a civil lawsuit over her house. The house burned down in a suspected arson case.

The $2.4 million home was owned by 50 but inhabited by Tompkins and their son.

Police have yet to charge someone with the crime, which Shaniqua blamed Fiddy for.

That should be fun!

According to Vibe and its readers, Eminem is the Greatest Rapper Alive.

Really.

Though the once tremendously outspoken rapper has been keeping to himself as of late, Eminem beat out all of today's hot acts from Kanye West to Rick Ross.

More than 920,000 votes were cast and rappers were eliminated tournament style, streamlining a large bracket, until it was down to Eminem and Jay-Z. Em came out the winner, with 69% of the votes.

Of the honor, Eminem dipomatically said in a statement:

"It's obviously an honor to have won the fans' support by being voted the Best Rapper Alive. I don't think that there is any one rapper that is simply the best, though. Everyone who was in consideration and many others are the best at certain things, and at what they do. But since Vibe's offering the distinction, hell yeah, I'll accept!"

It's strange that something out of his mouth makes us feel sort of…warm and fuzzy inside.

Rumor has it that Em's been working quietly at home on new material with 50 Cent and Dr. Dre.

Now that he's the Best Rapper Alive he's gotta back it up!

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, 50 Cent discusses his upcoming album and film release, both entitled Before I Self Destruct.

Yes, he's coming out with a movie!

The film is based on the music from the album.

Taking his work very seriously, Fiddy explains how he wants the film to be an accurate representation of life and its causes and effects.

He says that while most films about "certain lifestyles" fail to portray the consequences, he "showed characters under pressure in scenarios where they felt like there were no other options, even though there were" adding, "There are always options. People just usually start to see them while being incarcerated - for not seeing them in the first place.”

Got that Nick Hogan?

Even though the film is based on the album, don't expect to hear any of the music on the soundtrack. Proving how he earned his "certain lifestyle", he wants the film to remain free of Interscope's ownership.

The album and the film are due out December 9th, a week before Kanye unloads his latest.
