On his way to Circle in the Square Theatre, Hunter Parrish gave the paps smiles and cheer in New York City!
He was on his way to perform in Godspell. And despite the negative reviews, we've said it once and we'll say it again! He is the saving grace of this show because he's wonderful to look at for a few hours, LOL!
Here's to hopin' the New Year brings him better gigz!!!

When we were in New York last month, we saw the show too. And we've got to say - WE AGREE! This was nothing to write home about!
The reviews are in for the revival of Godspell on Broadway and not too many people have that many nice things to say about the show. 40th Anniversary production of Stephen Schwartz's rock musical was compared to a "being trapped in a summer camp rec room with a bunch of kids who have been a little too reckless with the Red Bull," by the New York Times for all the "bouncing" and "bounding" it did.
The Hollywood Reporter warn potential viewers to "prepare for disappointment," as they felt the show echoed a "high school production staged by the wacky new drama teacher," with no real depth and strength to the acting or the production.
Most reviewers conceded that the young cast was talented (somewhat), but that the production itself … well, we think Steven Suskin of Variety said it best:
Have MERCY! Phew! God really is good ya'll - and his son is HAWT!!!
It seems a trip to New York is in order this fall as it was just announced that Godspell is returning to the Great White Way with Weeds star Hunter Parrish slated to portray Jesus.
Mmm. Mmm. Mmm. Jesus never looked so fiiiine. We're exploding with happiness!!!!
The former Spring Awakening star revealed his thrill to land such an important role in the show, saying in his statement:
Diddy and Fiasco are trying to raise awareness for “Pakistan NOW,” an organization made up of celebrities and cultural figures using their status to help garner support for the relief effort in Pakistan, which was recently devastated by severe flooding.
Over 1,500 people have been killed and many more stranded after intense monsoon rains caused the worst flooding in Pakistan this century.
Both rappers are using twitter to spread the message. Diddy wrote:
"Everybody!!! Please Follow Pakistan_Now and help raise awareness about the flood in Pakistan!!! They need us!!"
Fiasco has focused on getting fans to donate to the cause:
“Pakistan_NOW: Text CERF to 90999 to donate $5 to UN foundation. If you can't donate dollars at least donate tweets! It's all about raising awareness Pakistan_Now."
If at all possible, make an effort to help out! Tweet, donate, and spread the word!

Hunter Parrish, 23, from Showtime’s Weeds has grown up, and in a new photo shoot he shows off his devilish good looks and shares six of his favorite health-related products (one of them is mac & cheese, but we’ll assume he uses whole wheat pasta).
Hunter also admits to using Aquage Sea Salt Texturizing Spray, which he puts in his hair to get some “gritty beachiness back into it” after he showers.
Whatever he’s doing, it’s working.
We can’t wait to see how this hunk handles himself in the new season of Weeds!

He could have been the next Zacquisha!!!
Weeds hottie Hunter Parrish spoke about Zefron, how he was the front-runner for the role of Troy in High School Musical and also mentioned his connection to older women in an interview for the new issue of GQ.
Here are some HIGHlights:
On being shirtless on Weeds:
It’s not contractual, it’s just where my storyline is. I had to show my butt last season for the first time. And I had a hard time deciding whether to do it—we didn’t decide until the morning of the shoot.
On his affair Julie Bowen (15 years his senior) on Weeds, sleeping with an older woman on Law & Order and appearing in a Funny or Die video about cougars:
I don’t know. Maybe I’m a better actor when I know there’s going to be an older woman involved.
On being offered the Zac Efron part in High School Musical:
That is definitely a rumor but it was really, really close. It was down to five guys and then I got offered a part in this amazing Robin Williams movie. And I thought to myself: fly to Vancouver and meet the director for this Robin Williams movie, or stay and finish the auditions for the Disney Channel movie? So I didn’t even go to the last audition. I heard a rumor that I was their favorite, but I never made it to the end. I mean I would have had a blast doing it. But I’m so happy for Zac, he’s the only guy for that.
We can imagine our lives without Zefron, but Hunter definitely isn't terrible to look at!
