Talk about people you'd never expect to be in the same room together, let alone discussing the likes of science and Icelandic elves!
AMAZING!
On last night's episode of The Colbert Report, Björk stopped by to promote her new album Biophilia, as well as her ten-night residency in New York City, which will include performances, as well as a three-week long education workshop, and of course, the HIGHlarious Stephen Colbert wasted no time not only questioning her mixture of science and music, but also the rumors that magical creatures live in the rocks of Iceland's volcanos!

And see her performance of Cosmogony…AFTER THE JUMP!
Aw, New Yorkers, you're so lucky!
Instead of doing a traditional tour, Björk has announced that she'll be setting up a residency in New York to showcase her album Biophilia.
She'll be doing a ten-night run in New York City in February and March, as well as a three-week long education workshop. Not exactly sure what that even entails, but it sounds fabulous.
The press release describes it as:
This just makes us want to dance.
Björk, wearing one amazing wig, performed her song Crystalline from her album Biophilia live on Later with Jools Holland.
The eccentric singer added an all-girls choir to make things sound even more magical.
We just love her unique spirit. Watch above!
Björk is at it again!
The singer, who has been recreating her latest experimental album, Biophilia, during concert residencies across the globe, has released one such performance of new single Thunderbolt from the Manchester International Festival - as its official music video!

The singer
Yeah, she's pretty crazy, but Kitty Brucknell's performance on X Factor UK this week was FAB!!!
We are in love with her rendition of Bjork's It's Oh So Quiet.
Truly awesome performance!

It's definitely Bjork! We'll say that!
There's only a few people who can make videos interesting even if they're only one shot.
And she's one of them.

Hey - nothing wrong with wanting it to be the best it can!
Although Björk was expected to release her new album, Biophilia, on September 27th, the release date has now been pushed back to October 10th, so the singer recently took to her official website to explain delay, and revealed that she wanted to add a little bit more to each of the tracks, so they would feel 'complete!'
She writes:

Well - this is pretty much what we've come to expect from her!
Check out the just-released cover art for Björk's ambitious new album, Biophilia (above)!
Pretty much in the same vein as the other promotional images we've seen thus far, but we have to hand it to her - it's VERY cool!
Bizarre, as always, but cool!
Can't wait to hear the rest of the album!
