Or as he likes to think of it, his second career.
Brett Favre has said that he plans to either pursue coaching or work as a television analyst, but that he will take some time off before doing either of those things.
For now, he keeps busy by traveling and watching Southern Mississippi baseball.
This is good. He got injured too much last season — he needs a break!

While the Brett Favre story has fallen off the radar for most people, it’s something that Jenn Sterger still deals with on a daily basis.
One thing Jenn is sick of hearing about is accusations that she’s a gold digger.
Said Jenn:
"I haven't made a dime off anything in this whole situation. Not from the pictures. Not from Favre. I never wanted to sue anyone. That was never an intention of mine."
Ugh.
Keep you chin up, Jenn! You’ll make it through this!

We can’t say we’re surprised!
Stephanie Dusenberry, an independent massage therapist, claims that Brett Favre along with several Minnesota Vikings players sent her lewd text messages back in September.
Dusenberry says that Favre asked if she could work on him, and when she said no he sent her a text message saying "you don't know what it's like to not be touched by a woman for three weeks."
She also claims to have received several unwanted advances from other players over the years.
Ugh! We love football, and there are a ton of great and honest players out there, but these guys are giving the sport a bad name with their skeezy behavior!!

We thought 2011 might be a better year for the Favres, but apparently we were wrong!
Brandi Favre, Brett’s sister, was arrested along with five others in Mississippi today when narcotics agents busted a meth lab hidden in a condo.
Brandi has run into problems in the past — she’s been arrested for shoplifting and unlawful use of a weapon.
Yikes!

Brett Favre has dug himself into a deep hole!
After being fined $50,000 for sexting Jen Sterger, two more women have come forward claiming that he sexually harassed them.
Christina Scavo and Shannon O’Toole, both former massage therapists for the NY Jets, filed a lawsuit against Brett Favre, the NY Jets, and Lisa Ripi (the woman responsible for hiring massages for the team) in the NY Supreme Court today.
According to their allegations, Favre propositioned them for sex via a string of text messages. Here’s an example, “Brett here, you and Crissy want to get together, I'm all alone.”
The NFL has not commented on the new allegations.
Ugh, Brett, what were you thinking?!!

Well, the day we’ve been anticipating for years has finally come — Brett Favre has retired from the NFL!
We CAN’T imagine he comes back again, and he seems to make it clear that he’s done for good now. He also briefly mentioned how he feels about his time with the Vikings..
“One season does not define me,” said Favre, referring to his lackluster performance this season.
We’re glad he’s done — he needs some time to sort out his personal life!!

Tiger Woods lost most of his sponsorships after his sex scandal was exposed, but Brett Favre is faring a little better.
Wrangler and Snapper (mowers) are keeping him on as a spokesperson despite his recent sexting scandal.
Laura Ries, president of Ries & Ries, a marketing/consulting firm, says Favre’s marketability won’t take a huge hit from the scandal:
"It was a minor infraction, a text message. This is in no way on the scale of Tiger Woods."
All we can hope is that there aren’t too many cowboys out there with strong objections to sexting — or they’ll have to get their denim elsewhere for a while!
