We're Getting Sued And We LOVE It!

wenn2329061.jpg

Relentless douchebag Chris Martin has commented on accusations that he has ripped off guitarist Joe Satriani's song If I Could Fly, which bears resemblance to hit Viva La Vida.

AND, Yusaf Islam, formerly Cat Stevens, recently had some beef with the band! He too is claiming that Viva La Vida rips off one of his songs.

Says Martin, "If everyone's trying to take away our best song, then we'd better write 25 better ones. And so just at the point where I was thinking about getting fat and becoming complacent, I've been finding more inspiration. Now we've got more to prove than ever before. Some people are suing us at the moment and although it was initially a bit depressing, now it's become really inspiring."

25 better songs = 25 more lawsuits!

You think they'd learn!

Ever heard of originality?!

Are Coldplay Big Fakers???

Folk rock legend turned devout follower of Islam, Cat Stevens, is claiming Coldplay ripped off one of his tunes!

Stevens, who now goes by Yusuf Islam, thinks Chris Martin & Co.'s Viva La Vida was heavily 'inspired' by his 1973 song, Foreigner Suite.

"If you listen to it, it's mine! It's the Foreigner Suite it is!" claimed Stevens about the popular Coldplay song.

Although Cat isn't seeking any sort of monetary compensation, he wants the credit (he thinks) he deserves!

What do U think????

Check it out above!

Sure, it sounds similar, but we think it's a freaky coincidence more than anything!

This is the SECOND person to accuse Coldplay of plagiarizing. Both claim Viva La Vida is the offending song!

Coldplay Is Giving It Away!

leftrightleftrightleft.jpg

Coldplay wants to be nice to their fans and also promote their live CD, LeftRightLeftRightLeft.

In fact, for the rest of their concerts this year, the band will be giving away FREE live CDs to everyone that attends their shows - not including festivals.

According to the band's site, starting with their first North American tour date on May 15th in West Palm Beach, Florida, "every fan attending a show will be given a free copy of the nine-track CD, which won't be available elsewhere."

Also on the 15th, LeftRightLeftRightLeft will be available to download for free on the band's site.

So what's the reason for the generosity?

Apparently the free CDs are meant as a "recession-busting mark of gratitude to everyone who's supported them."

Coldplay claims that "Playing live is what we love. This album is a thank you to our fans – the people who give us a reason to do it and make it happen."

Free sounds good to us!

Coldplay Fights Back!

not-hacks__opt.jpg

In a US federal court, Coldplay has denied any similarities between Joe Satriani's If I Could Fly and their hit Viva La Vida, fighting Satriani's December copyright infringement lawsuit.

Adding arrogance to douchebaggery, Coldplay also claimed that Satriani's piece "lacks originality" and should therefore receive no copyright protection at all.

But Satriani's lawyer said that Coldplay's response is typical and that he felt like the situation could have been handled without legal action.

What he meant to say was Coldplay's response is typical of someone married to a wet sock like Gwyneth Paltrow.

Bono Hits Chris Martin With A Low Blow

bonochrisfeud.jpg

After remembering U2 is losing their cultural relevance faster than ever, Bono quickly apologized for a jab he made at Coldplay vocalist Chris Martin on BBC Radio!

Bono was on the Beeb's Radio 1 promoting U2's new shiteous album when he let his true feelings fly about Mr. GOOP himself!

"I think he's that good a melodist, but he's a wanker… He's obviously a completely dysfunctional character and a cretin," said Bono on the BBC early Friday morning.

Meow!

We think Bono's a little cranky over people calling Coldplay "The New U2"!!!

Not ready to give up the "Greatest Band On Earth" title just quite yet???

The U2 frontman quickly backtracked, telling the radio show host, "I think they [Coldplay] are a great band and actually, it turns out he’s a great soul as well. Sorry about that. I was just joking entirely."

Hmm.. we're not too sure if we believe you!!
